Sunehri Masjid
Sunehri Masjid is a mosque in Old Delhi, located near the Gurudwara Sis Ganj Sahib in Chandni Chowk. The Sunehri Masjid was built by Roshan-ud- daula-Zafar-Khan. The dome of the masjid was where the Persian invader Nadir shah spent several hours sitting on the mosque and watching the killing of the people in plain sight. The Katle-e-aam he ordered led to the massacre of 30000 people.
The mosque’s original appearance was altered to make sure the faithful can come pray. Presently the surrounding area of the mosque is a prime location in Delhi and it is being encroached by parked vehicles and small shops.
