Hotels and Accommodation
Fortunately, there are no major hotels in the region because the locals have maintained pressure by successfully campaigning against the construction of any major hotels on the beach. In fact a number of builders have shown interest in developing the Arambol Beach area, but have not been successful in their endeavours because of the pressure from Local civic bodies. Even though there are no major hotels in the region, there are other sorts of accommodation such as guest houses, home stays and dismantable beach shacks. These shacks are assembled at the start of the tourist season and dismantled at the end of the tourist season. The locals are pretty strict about ensuring that these shacks comply with the latest environmental norms. Littering is not tolerated among the locals. Accommodations are available at very reasonable.
