The North Keeling Island is an atoll. It has only one C-shaped island with a closed atoll ring and an opening into a small lagoon. The Pulu Keeling national park was established in the year 1995. It makes for an interesting stopover.
The South Keeling Island is the second atoll. IT has 24 individual islets and they form an incomplete atoll ring. Only Home Island and West Island are populated. ON larger areas of the island there are Pondoks. The Pondoks are shacks that are set up during weekends on the Coco’s Malay.
