Belonging to the class of sub contact sedan cars, the Tata Indigo is manufactured by the Indian automobile company Tata motors. The Tata Indigo was launched in the year 2002. The Indigo is an expansion of the successfully running Tata India. This sub compact Sedan is a bigger version of the hatchback – Indica. Both the Indica and Indigo share similar features and carry similar designs. The slighter variation in the size and leg space of the car is what differentiates the Indigo from the Indica.
The Indigo was relaunched in 2013 with modifications that made the car favourable with most logistics and tour operators. With newer design and added features the Indigo also joined the list of cars that were preferred for long tours and commuting in style.

The Indigo has a larger wheel base compared to Indica but it shares most of its part as seen in the Indica.
The Tata Indigo is a subcompact car that has front wheel drive. This four door Sedan is 1700 milli meter wide and 1540 milli meter high. The Indigo XL are available in plenty with most travel operators. Royal Leisure tours is not far behind in having substantial number of these cars.
